My family knows me. For Mother's Day, do I want jewelry? Um, no. New clothes? Don't even THINK about it. Flowers? Really, are you trying to kill me? This year my main gift was this baby. It's the adhesive gun I have been wanting. Let me tell you, this thing is awesome. They were originally used for taping down mats, prints, etc. in custom framing. Now they have acid-free tape and are popping up all over scrapbook stores. The funny thing was getting used to holding it. I think it looks a bit ridiculous too. It is SO BIG. I am used to it now, but it was an adjustment at first. Here is a pic with the normal-sized adhesive I used to use. You can get an idea of the scale of this thing.
The other advantages of this gun are that the refills are relatively inexpensive, have more adhesive, and a very strong adhesive. I have had issues with the Monoadhesive not being sticky enough on textured paper.
